Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm Valerie Opdam, founder of CharityGoodz. I was born in 2001 in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. From a young age, creativity has been an essential part of my life. Whether through painting, drawing, or simply bringing ideas to life. I always found joy in creating.

In addition to my artistic passion, I have a deep love for animals, especially horses. Their powerful presence and intuitive nature have always inspired me. Working with horses connects me to the natural world, offering clarity and calm whenever life gets overwhelming. My connection to nature plays a major role in my work, where organic forms and everyday beauty often influence my designs.

In 2020, CharityGoodz was founded with a clear mission: to raise awareness around charitable giving in the digital space. While physical donations are widely known and supported, I noticed that online giving was often overlooked, especially by younger generations. I wanted to change that by combining two things I deeply care about: creating meaningfull accessories and giving back.

CharityGoodz began with handcrafted, personalized items that not only bring joy to the wearer, but also contribute to a good cause. A portion of every purchase goes directly to a selection of carefully chosen charities, each one representing different causes, so customers can choose a charity that resonates with them.

For me, it’s all about meaningful impact. With every piece of jewelry, there’s not only beauty in the design but also purpose behind the purchase.
